Since the last movie in the Jackass franchise was released, Paramount+ revealed today that the MTV stunt series will be rebooted for the streamer. No specific details have been released yet, other than Paramount+ is working with the series’ creators.

Johnny Knoxville, the face of the franchise, said he was eager to hand over the reins of the franchise to someone else after a particularly bad injury on the set of Jackass Forever. The original series lasted only three seasons, in 2000 and 2001, but spawned a brand that includes several spin-offs, movies, video games and more.

The Jackass Forever series grossed about $20 million in its opening weekend in theaters, eventually closing its box office run at about $80 million on a budget of only $10 million. The film went on to become a huge hit on Paramount+.

“Following the success of Jackass Forever, we are working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous stunts directly to Paramount+,” said Bob Bakish, CEO of Paramount Global, during today’s earnings conference call.

“These are big stunts, which could end just as badly,” Knoxville told Variety at the Jackass Forever press tour. “Or worse. I’ve done enough. I don’t have anything to prove. I have kids to raise. That’s the most important thing.”

Around the same time, ComicBook.com spoke with Knoxville, Steve-O, Jason “Wee Man” Acuna, Chris Pontius, Preston Lacy, Dave England and Ehren McGhehey about doing more Jackass, and they all seem open to the pursuit.

“I hope so,” Chris Pontius says when asked if there will be more Jackass. “If the world needs it, we’ll bring it.” Wee Man echoed that sentiment, “We’ll bring it.”

“Oh, another one? Another hundred,” England joked. McGhehey added, “We were just asked how many we could make by 2063, by then…”
