Armaan Ali is a chauffeur for a senior executive in Mumbai. When he takes a month’s holiday to go back to his village and returns after three months, his employer threatens to sack him, but Ali tells him a largely truthful story about what kept him. Taking advantage of a government scheme, Ali decides to build a well for his home but finds himself mired in bureaucracy.
