Rating Summary
If anyone dares to pan this movie and/or the TV show and/or the comics, they will feel my wrath. I absolutely LOVED this movie, and it reawakened my eyes to the beauty that is Invader ZIM. It was different from the TV show, sure, but it was in no way bad. It did have a few personality changes, but that is to be expected, especially when (coming back from years away) a movie is written. A little character development is needed in order to make a movie-length episode. Imagine trying to make a Gaz that doesn't care at all about what is going on be a main protagonist, actually helping her brother save the world. (And not just because ZIM doesn't have any video games, like in "Tak: The Hideous New Girl.") I personally enjoyed this recreation of the cartoon I love, and would not be able to find anything wrong with it if I watched it in upwards of 25 times (which I may or may not have already done). This film deserves no less than an 8 out of 5 stars, and anyone who disagrees needs to rethink their life.
ZIM discovers his almighty leaders never had any intention of coming to Earth and he loses confidence in himself for the first time in his life, which is the big break his human nemesis, Dib has been waiting for.
