Season 2 of « Squid Game » is moving fast. Having already added new actors to its cast, Netflix has just shared the names of eight more who will be appearing in the series’ universe. At the end of 2021, Hwang Dong-hyuk updates his new creation on Netflix: Squid Game. The series centers on 456 people in financial difficulty. They are invited to take part in a mysterious competition to win over 30 million euros. The competition is made up of events for children. But with a twist: by taking part, the contestants risk their lives… Since its release, Squid Game has become a worldwide phenomenon. The series amassed a record number of views on Netflix. It became the most-watched program in the platform’s history in the space of 17 days, racking up 111 million views in the process! In doing so, it easily overtook The Bridgerton Chronicle, which reached 82 million views in 28 days. After such success, Season 2 of Hwang Dong-hyuk’s show was unsurprisingly announced for November 2021. And it’s now revealing a little more. The Netflix network has just released new information about the new season of Squid Game. Namely, the names of eight actors who will take part in important roles. As reported by Coming Soon, the platform has announced that Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won and Won Ji-an will be part of the cast of the new chapter. Netflix has already announced its plans for Squid Game season 2. The streaming giant had already revealed that Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, and Yang Dong-geun would play new characters in the series. Fans will also be able to catch up with Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo, already present in the first chapter. Hwang Dong-hyuk has decided to focus on another project before returning to the world of the series which has made his popularity soar. The show’s second season is not due to be released until 2024. It could then be followed by a third season, as its creator revealed in December 2021.
