The movie, directed by Louis Leterrier, « Fast & Furious X » is a very strong signal to stop this series that lacks a real story. It’s a nice movie but with an unrelieved scenario, fortunately, the actor Jason Momoa is present and he brings some freshness. We take the same and we start again, Fast & Furious X starts with a story of revenge. In Fast & Furious 7, Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) went after Dom and his family to avenge his brother (Luke Evans), left in a coma at the end of F&F 6. Here, we go back even further. All the way back to the fifth opus with Dante (Jason Momoa), the son of Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) eager to avenge his father’s death. The scenario is full of inconsistencies, the fault of too fast writing and too short delays and above all a plot that has for goal only to go from one action scene to another. Fortunately, there is some action, with two hand-to-hand fights that are enjoyable and well-paced. One between Michelle Rodriguez (Letty) and Charlize Theron (Cipher), the other between Sung Kang (Han) and Jason Statham (Deckard). The kind of sequence unfortunately too little exploited. Just like those with Tyrese Gibson’s group (Roman), more delirious and absurd than ever. The breath of fresh air brought by each one leaves a certain frustration as we would have liked to see more of Jason Statham, the complicity between Nathalie Emmanuel (Megan) and Ludacris (Tej), or Jordana Brewster (Mia) – who only has an anecdotal presence.
